Privacy & cookie choices
TypeScore Lab provides useful typing analytics without requiring an account. Optional website measurement is disabled until you choose to allow it.
Typing results
When you finish a test, the service stores measurements such as WPM, accuracy, duration, corrections, speed samples, and per-key timing. Your typed passage content is not stored. The local service keeps only the latest 200 results across visitors and automatically removes older results.
Essential visitor cookie
A signed, HTTP-only, same-site cookie separates your results from those of other visitors. Browser scripts cannot read this identifier. It is necessary for retrieving your private typing history and is not used for advertising.
Optional Google Analytics
If you select “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics may measure page views, scrolling, outbound links, approximate location, device and browser information, and non-personal typing-test summaries such as mode, WPM, accuracy, duration, and error count. TypeScore Lab never sends the text you type or individual keystrokes to Google Analytics. Advertising storage, advertising user data, personalization, and Google Signals are disabled.
Google Analytics may set cookies beginning with _ga. The Analytics tag does not load when you reject analytics. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Analytics retention is controlled through the TypeScore Lab Google Analytics account.
Hosting and security
Hosting logs may temporarily contain technical request information for security and reliability. Application requests are validated, rate limited, protected with browser security headers, and written atomically. No internet service can promise absolute security, so the application minimizes the information it stores.
